The Group for a Switzerland without an Army (GSoA – GSsA – GSsE) is an anti-militarist organization that opposes any Swiss involvement in war and is committed to global justice.
The GSoA thrives on the commitment of its activists and members. They carry out actions, collect signatures and make large demonstrations possible.
The GSoA uses direct democratic instruments and has collected seven popular initiatives and two referenda since its founding in 1982. For another five initiatives, the GSoA has contributed significantly to the collection of signatures.
The GSoA is organized on a grassroots democratic basis. The highest body is the general assembly, which takes place once a year. The GSoA board is called “Coordination” and is open to all members who are willing to participate on a regular basis. In addition, there are various regional groups that decide and implement their activities independently.
